The Seasons Change
September arrived and the earth took note and started to change, quickly. Leaves are starting to shed their green to reveal their alter-egos, nights are crisp, we light candles at dinner outside because dark arrives quickly. Until yesterday I felt like I needed another month of summer. But today I am ready for fall. This morning we took a bike ride to a cafe to eat croissants and coffee for breakfast without becoming drenched in sweat. We can start to wear our favorite cozy sweaters. We can feel less guilty that our garden is covered in weeds because, we’ll, it’s all going to die soon anyway. Change is good, though it always throws me off a little. Hello, fall, I’m ready for you. It's a little bit of a rebirth, into new but familiar territory. And with it, comes new creativity.
